TABOO  (1989 - 1995)

RICK GRIMES: "The stories in TABOO were preceded with plenty of 'forewarning', well ahead of the first issue, in the form of [Steve] Bissette's letter inviting me to participate. He, then, gave me his wholehearted encouragement to do anything I wanted. I should have been in the first issue, (which would have made a 'Grimes story' a true staple for the book's complete run), but I had so many ideas I couldn't complete one on time. The three stories in #2 were the one's I was able to stay with and complete. Didn't know just what would go over so sent 'em all. The addition of 'Elly' must've been an inspiration later, knowing few had seen it the first time." -- Rick Grimes (December 22, 2008).
